December 2019 Residential Statistics

Niagara and Hamilton saw increases in both unit sales and average sale price in 2019. Niagara had a 6% increase in new listings, 13% increase in average sale price, and a 6% increase in new listings. Hamilton had a 13% increase in unit sales, 7% increase in average sale price and stayed the same with new listing numbers ytd. Both regions have 1 month of inventory remaining, which means 2020 begins in a Seller's market. 

Individual Market Statistics. 

St Catharines had a 4% increase in unit sales and 11% increase in average sale price. 

Niagara-on-the-Lake had a 15% increase in unit sales and 8% increase in average sale price. 

Niagara Falls saw a slight 1% decrease in unit sales but an 11% increase in average sale price. 

Fort Erie also had a small decrease of 2% in unit sales, but a 5% increase in average sale price. 

Thorold jumped 28% in unit sales, and 15% increase in average sale price. 

Pelham had a 25% increase in unit sales, and 7% increase in average sale price.

Welland had a 13% increase in unit sales and 11% increase in average sale price. 

Port Colborne had a 3% increase in unit sales and a 6% increase in average sale price. 

Lincoln had a 7% increase in unit sales and a 4% increase in average sale price. 

West Lincoln's unit sales stayed the same, but average sale price rose 10%

Grimsby's unit sales rose 9% and average sale price rose 6%

Dunnville had an 11% increase in unit sales and a 3% increase in average sale price. 

Hamilton had a 12% increase in unit sales and a 7% increase in average sale price. 

Ancaster had a 14% increase in unit sales and a 4% increase in average sale price. 

Stoney Creek's unit sales rose 16% and average sale price rose 7%

Glanbrook had a 14% increase in unit sales and a 5% increase in average sale price.
